Anyone who’s ever been in a college theater class knows that your scene partner is often randomly picked by your professor.
More than 30 years later, Academy Award winner and actor Matt Damon told CBS Mornings last week that he’s still amazed that his partner during an undergraduate drama class at Harvard University was U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
While he confessed that he didn’t remember working with her, when he heard her voice, it all came back.
“And then I ran around, and I’m telling my kids, I’m like, ‘You know who I did a scene with?’” he said during the interview. “When she was confirmed, it was like, yeah, it was amazing.”

Jackson mentioned her work in a scene in an earlier interview from February, discussing how Damon was already on his way to becoming a notable actor during the class.
Now, when she sees him in films, “I’m like, I know that guy,” she said in the interview.
After watching the footage, Damon responded, “I can’t believe she would say, ‘I know that guy,’ when it’s like, she’s a Supreme Court justice.”
