Latham & Watkins will cancel "further indoor holiday parties" after multiple people tested positive for COVID-19 following a Dec. 2 party hosted by the law firm’s New York corporate department, according to a Latham spokesperson.

Above the Law broke the news about the outbreak Wednesday, when it published a memo sent to anyone on the corporate department’s invitation list.

The memo told attendees that they should stay away from the office until they receive a negative COVID-19 test at least five days after the event.

A Latham spokesperson confirmed the outbreak in an email to Reuters.

She said a number of positive cases “appear to relate” to the party, but she declined to provide an exact number. Attendance at the party was optional, the spokesperson said.

Everyone at the party was vaccinated, the spokesperson said. Latham requires vaccines.
