Florida lawyer Edward Paltzik confirmed on X, formerly Twitter, that an online fundraiser for his client Michael P. Desronvil is legit.
“If they come for him, and they will, this is to cover security, lawyers and lost work,” the page on GiveSendGo.com reports. It has a fundraising goal of $500,000, and so far, it has raised more than $370,000.
Desronvil spoke publicly Friday through a statement that Paltzik released, the CT Insider reports. Contrary to earlier reports from other jurors who claimed that Desronvil did not follow the law to determine reasonable doubt, he claims to have had no doubt about Clancy being guilty, according to the article.
Instead, he claims that jurors often interrupted him during deliberations when he tried to discuss his theories about the case.
“Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she knew exactly what she was doing and planned,” Desronvil said, the CT Insider reports.
