Liane Jackson, a former assistant managing editor, joined the ABA Journal staff in 2016. She managed the magazine’s Inter Alia and Practice Matters sections. She is an attorney who previously practiced at large law firms in Chicago and New York. She has also worked as a press secretary and freelanced for the Journal for a number of years. Jackson earned her bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania, her JD from Tulane Law School, and an MSJ from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Jackson founded Free Range Office, a co-working space in the Wicker Park-Bucktown neighborhood in 2013, and she continues to do pro bono work in her spare time.
